This course is designed for students or professionals who know the basics and want to deepen their knowledge of the consecutive interpreting technique, in order to start practicing with longer speeches.
Interpreting students wishing to prepare for interpreting schools entrance exams or needing extra support in learning consec and preparing for a successful first year exam. Translators wishing to discover and practice conference interpreting techniques.
This course is designed to offer an overview of the consecutive interpreting technique. It concentrates on the development of skills essential to consec, i.e.: memory and comprehension, note taking and vocabulary building. Throughout the whole course the group will be working with practical analysis and consecutive interpreting exercises.
